  6. 1. Max Size of MESSAGES.DAT    : Unlimited

  16. This option allows you to set a few other defaults.  Simply choose
  17. the number and enter the new value.  Here is a detailed description
  18. of each selection:

  20. 1. Max Size of MESSAGES.DAT   : Unlimited
  21.  
  22. Determines the size limit of the MESSAGES file in your packet. 
  23. This limit does NOT affect the bulletin or file lists, ONLY the
  24. messages.
  25.  
  26. 2. Max Messages/Forum         : Default     Default= 200
  27.  
  28. This determines the maximum number of messages per forum that will
  29. be extracted in any ONE download.  The sysop has also limited you
  30. to how large you can increase this to based on your baudrate.

  32. 3. Max Messages/Packet        : Default     Default= 32767

  34. This determines the maximum TOTAL number of messages you can
  35. extract in any one download.  It should be noted that the sysop has
  36. also limited the total number of messages you can extract and
  37. therefore, you might not receive the number shown here.

  39. 4. Receive Messages YOU Posted: No

  41. This determines whether or not MainMail will extract messages that
  42. you posted.  Some users like to receive their own messages to see
  43. how well they came out in their final draft.

  45. 5. Send Color Bulletins       : No
  46.  
  47. Some readers are capable of displaying bulletins and welcome
  48. screens in color, others are not.  If you are using a reader that
  49. allows color, you can toggle this on and MainMail will extract the
  50. color version of all screens.  If the bulletins appear garbled in
  51. your reader, toggle this off.
